The Community of Vermont Elders also known as COVE will be sharing a presentation on the latest scams targeting Vermonters, the common tactics scammers use, and how to avoid becoming a victim of a scam or fraud. Discussion and questions to follow.
Marichel Vaught of COVE, the Senior Medicare Patrol and Building Bridges will be the guest speaker at Passumpsic View Apartments community space, 394 Railroad Street, St. Johnsbury on August 24th from 9-11am. She will also be providing a repeat of this presentation at the Darling Inn community space, 76 Depot street, in Lyndonville later this same day, from 1-3pm.
There is no cost to attend either presentation, however RuralEdge and the SASH program, who are hosting this event alongside the Northeast Kingdom Council on Aging are requiring those who attend to respectfully wear a mask whether you have been vaccinated or not to protect our seniors and other community members.
