In this comprehensive 16-hour Village Medic training you will learn to confidently assess and address injuries and illnesses from minor cuts & scrapes to major accidents and acute symptoms. In this training you will learn to make a splint from improvised materials, prevent infection in an open wound, recognize when to seek advanced medical care, and build an herbal first aid kit you can for everyday ailments. This weekend training involves lots of hands-on practice and will give you the tools to take action when your community needs you most and other help isn’t easily accessible. Training lead by Mary Murphy, wilderness guide and experienced Wilderness First Responder/EMT and Rebecca Dalgin, Clinical Herbalist.
