I suspect the recent IPCC report weighs heavily on many who read it, or who read parts of it. It reinforced for me the need to reach out to and engage with those who are in denial about the consequences of climate change, or who have tumbled down one of the many disinformation rabbit holes the internet makes so readily available.
These conversations are challenging, for many reasons. Navigating them is a skill. Those who want to explore and practice this skill might be interested in my upcoming online course Navigating Challenging Conversations. The course does not focus solely on climate change, but this issue will certainly show up in examples and role play. To learn more about the course and register visit https://quillwood.org.
This course begins with a Zoom orientation this coming Sunday, August 22, at 4:00 pm Eastern Daylight Time. Subsequent meetings are scheduled for September 5, September 19, October 3, and October 17. Registration is by donation, which can include zero. Let me know if you have any questions, and please share with others you think might be interested.
Take care all, and stay healthy!
