This Thursday and every consecutive Thursday through the 2021 summer season, the Rotary Club of Waterbury presents FREE musical concerts at the Rusty Parker Memorial Park in Downtown Waterbury. This "Concert in the Park" series in its 39th season is believed to be the longest consecutive running free to the public cultural arts series of its type in Vermont.
This week, John Lockard, "The hardest working Blues Band in New England" will be performing.
Come join us with family and friends that will be bringing their lawn chairs, blankets, and picnic supper or purchase your supper from a variety of vendors on site. Come early and shop from the numerous food vendors and booths set up at the Waterbury Farmer's Market, 4:00 - 7:00 pm. See you there and pick up a full schedule of this year's musical performers and play our weekly 50/50 Raffle with the proceeds going to support of concert expenses.
Please, everyone, adhere to the State of Vermont COVID-19 prevention guidelines in effect. Also, for the safety of the performers, Farmers Market vendors and the crowd…please remind guests and your children that unleashed dogs, bike riding, ball playing, climbing on structures and trees, and running through the crowd are prohibited during the event.
On the following Thursday, August 16th, WDEV Radio Rangers ( with your favorite country, western swing, originals, novelty songs, and blue grass zingers) will be performing to "Celebrate and Commemorate 2011-2021", the beginning of a three day community event sponsored by Revitalizing Waterbury. This event will be highlighting a decade of community resilience and transformation and the completion of the multi-year downtown Main Street construction project.
If inclement weather threatens the performance, listen to WDEV Radio Thursday afternoons for notification of cancellation.
