Come learn about heat pumps! The Strafford Energy and Climate Committee is hosting a series of free informational seminars via online webinars, open to any and all in the surrounding community.

HEAT PUMPS
7:00 pm, Wednesday, August 18th.
40 minutes of presentations, then open questions until we run out of them.

In this session, Matt Christie will go cover heat pumps: what they are, how they work, how to think about ducted vs. ductless, whole-home vs. partial load - and critically how heat pumps have advanced in the last 10 years to become the only viable, non-fossil fuel, efficient way to heat your Vermont home all winter. (Yes, even at -10°F).

Matt comes to this topic as a consultant to utilities on energy efficiency and decarbonization policy. He creates training, incentive programs, and market support programs for utilities across the US. So he's not trying to sell you anything. Just trying to help inform and educate the community.
