On Tuesday, August 17, at 7:30 pm, the Springfield Community Band will present a free concert dedicated to the memory of their long-time clarinetist Cindy McCarthy, a funny and engaging woman and a talented player who is certainly missed. The concert will take place at the outdoor bandstand at Riverside Middle School, 13 Fairground Rd, Springfield. In addition to selections by the full band, the Saxophone Quartet and the Jazz Ensemble will perform.
