New Haven Community Library will host a virtual author talk and discussion with science writer and author of the Climate in Emergency blog, Caroline Ailanthus on August 18th at 6:30 via Zoom.
Caroline will be discussing her latest novel Ecological Memory—a story set 20 years after a global pandemic. Ecological memory is part scientific detective story, part post-apocalyptic travelogue. This timely novel is hopeful exploration about what happens after you lose everything.
Our evening discussion will focus on exploring Caroline's book including the process of creating a fictional pandemic versus living through a real one as well as how the science of ecology can be a source of perspective and hope in the face of loss.
Copies of Caroline's books are available at the library for checkout. You can also purchase a copy of her book by visiting her website at www.newsfromcaroline.wordpress.com/ecological-memory/
To register for the program, please message the library at nhl@gmavt.net. You will receive a link to the event via email.
