Al-Anon/Alateen is a fellowship of relatives and friends of alcoholics who share their experience, strength, and hope in order to solve their common problems. We believe that alcoholism is a family illness and that changed attitudes can aid recovery.
Anyone affected by someone else's drinking is welcome to attend any Al-Anon meeting. You don't need to decide whether the person is or was an alcoholic, only that your life has been affected by their drinking.
Friends and families affected by someone else's drinking find understanding and support. In Al-Anon, members do not give direction or advice to other members. Instead, they share their personal experiences and stories, and invite other members to "take what they like and leave the rest"—that is, to determine for themselves what lesson they could apply to their own lives.
You are not alone. Come listen to & share your Experience, Strength and Hope
