Spend the morning at the homestead of Guilford herbalist, Julie Beet. We'll sip tea from the garden while strolling through the gardens and land. Learn to identify some of the medicinal plants that grow all around us and discover some easy ones to grow yourself. Return home with a renewed connection to the plants as well as a small potted medicinal plant for your own garden.
Julie Beet has been developing her relationship with the plant world since reading "The Secret Garden" as a child. She has studied western herbalism at the California School of Herbal Studies, various forms of plant spirit medicine with healer Eliot Cowan and South African sangoma John Lockley, and alchemical herbalism at the School for Evolutionary Herbalism. Julie enjoys making potions in her kitchen and daydreaming in the garden.
