Community Book Discussion
Chanel Miller's 2019 autobiography Know My Name (The Lanpher Library has a set of copies of this book if you would like to borrow one for the discussion)
Wednesday, September 22 at 6:30pm on Zoom
Join Clarina Howard Nichols center to discuss Ms. Miller's side of what happened when she was sexually assaulted by Stanford student Brock Turner and forced to endure a long and traumatizing trial in the public eye. Drawing parallels between her own experience and the structural mistreatment of women in the court system, she explains what made her determined to share her story and empower survivors.
Our Zoom book discussion will be a safe space for all people to come together, ask questions, listen and grapple with this uncomfortable subject. Facilitated by Clarina Howard Nichols Center's advocates as well as by Lanpher Library. We'd like to offer that you can join this Zoom group anonymously.
First 20 people to register with Jacquie at jmauer@clarina.org will receive a free book.
Or please pick up a book at your local library, or at your local bookstores: Ebenezer in Johnson, or Bear Pond Books in Stowe (mention this book discussion and receive 20% off).
