If We Fight, We Can Win:
Lessons of the Bus Drivers' Strike for the Labor Movement
The bus drivers, organized in Teamsters Local 597, set an example for our state's labor movement of how to stand up and fight. Their strike scored an historic victory at CCTA.
This Thursday drivers joined by speakers from unions and student groups who built the "We're on this Bus Together" solidarity committee will draw the lessons of the strike and how those lessons can be applied to many other developing struggles in workplaces across the state.
Bring your fellow co-workers, whether in unions or not, to join the discussion of how we can build a stronger labor movement to organize and fight for dignity, respect, and good paying union jobs in our state.
