All are invited to our new backyard tent this Thursday at 7:00 p.m. for an outdoor presentation by a longtime local and newly published author, Anthony Acheson. Anthony served as pastor of the Greensboro United Church of Christ for seventeen years, and has focused on writing since his retirement six years ago. Anthony will talk about his book "Beyond Denial: Essays on Consciousness, Spiritual Practice and Social Repair." Anthony's essays envision a world where curiosity and compassion help us move beyond denial of dysfunctional patterns -- the shortest way I could describe a book filled with many insights! Anthony will have copies of his book for sale, and the library has a copy available for loan after the talk.

Our next author talk will be next Tuesday, August 10, featuring Celia Ryker's new book about her experiences hiking the Long Trail. We hope you can join us for one or both of these author talks!
