The Annual Helen Daly and Margaret Stone Ice Cream Social, sponsored by the Brookfield Historical Society Trustees, will be held Sunday, August 8, from 2-4 P.M. at the Marvin Newton House, 1133 Ridge Road, Brookfield, VT. Enjoy ice cream, and cookies, listen to the music of Jennings and McComber, and learn about the garden plans for this historical home from Master Gardener Sid McLam., who will also be available to answer your questions. Tour the 1835 Federal style Marvin Newton House, this year featuring the celebration of the 200th Anniversary of Brookfields Floating Bridge with Ella Colt photos, as well as blueprints and other memorabilia. Please join us, meet your neighbors, for an afternoon of music, fun and education. Donations are welcome.
