The Perseid Meteor shower is coming! To celebrate this annual event, the Northeast Kingdom Astronomy Foundation will hold a Star/Meteor Party on Thursday, August 12 at the Northern Skies Observatory at 336 Bayley-Hazen Road in Peacham, VT. We will start observing at 9:30 PM and go until at least 11. The moon is cooperating this year but the weather may not, so we have rain/cloud dates on Friday, August 13 and, if needed on Saturday, August 14. As always, dress for about 20 degrees colder than the thermometer tells you, park in the Peacham School lot and walk up the drive-way, which will be lit, so no flashlights are needed!
