The Craftsbury Chamber Players continue their six-week summer festival on Wednesday, August 4 at 7 PM performing from their concert trailer in the Parking Field at 500 Cheese Factory Road, South Burlington (across from Bread and Butter Farm). Throughout the summer the concerts explore the influence of folk traditions and popular music on chamber music. This program features music of George Gershwin, Duke Ellington, Maurice Ravel, a pair of rock and roll inspired solo violin pieces by Daniel Bernard Roumain and Elena Abad, and Gwyeneth Walker's "Craftsbury Trio' for violin, cello, and piano.
Performers are Mary Rowell and Katherine Winterstein, violins, Wendy Richman, viola, Frances Rowell, cello, and Inessa Zaretsky, piano. There is no admission fee but donations will be gratefully accepted.
