Blackwolf & Bryan Blanchette
Tuesday Night Live
August 3, 6 to 8:30 PM
Legion Field, School Street, Johnson
Original and inspired, Blackwolf will be providing a cultural celebration of the life, songs and music of Native American, Charley Patton, father of the Mississippi Delta Blues. Also on stage will be Abenaki singer/songwriter Bryan Blanchette. Bryan is currently writing, performing, and recording contemporary Abenaki and Abenglish language songs with an infusion of contemporary and traditional instruments.
Tuesday Night Live is free thanks to the support of local businesses. Find their names on the yellow signs by the Tuesday Night Stage. Just bring a blanket or chair. A variety of vendors on site offer tasty treats. The Historical Society bakers promise a great selection of homemade pies plus Alice Whiting' s German chocolate cake and Donnie Garrett will be grilling the McKenzie hot dogs.
Summer showers may dampen the enthusiasm for a few minutes; but it is only lightning and thunder that stops the music. Thanks to all the volunteers who make programs like Tuesday Live possible. Information from Howard Romero at 730-2943.
