Storyteller Simon Brooks!

Past event
Jul 29, 2021, 7 to 8 PM

Don't miss Castleton Free Library's free storytelling event for all ages featuring renowned storyteller Simon Brooks, this Thursday evening, 7/29 at 7:00 pm! This is a rain-or-shine event, on the library lawn or in the CVS gym. (Thank-you, CVS, for providing a BIG space in case it is stormy!)

British storyteller, humorist and raconteur Simon Brooks has been professionally sharing stories full-time with audiences all over New England and in Europe since 2003. He released his first CD in 2006, and his first collection of folk and fairy tales in 2018. Simon has won awards and honors for his storytelling albums from Storytelling World and Parent's Choice. During the Covid shutdown, he performed at many virtual festivals, and produced his own online shows.

Simon's mission is to spread and share the art of traditional storytelling to a wide audience, revealing the power of the 'ancient stories' - folk and fairy tales, myths and legends. He is engaging and funny for adults as well as kids.

We will be outside on the library lawn if weather permits, or in the Castleton Village School gym if rainy. Please bring chairs or a blanket, and masks in case we get chased indoors (younger kids are not vaccinated, and we want them to be safe). Q? Contact Jan at 468-5574 or castletonfreelibrary@gmail.com.

This program has been partially funded by a grant from the VT Department of Libraries as part of our Tails & Tales Summer Reading Program
