A long-time favorite of Island Arts' audiences, the Citizens Concert Band is a community band based in St. Albans. Its 35 to 40 members range from high school age through adults. The Band offers a mix of music that includes traditional band favorites, jazzy numbers, and show and pop tunes cleverly adapted for its mix of musicians. The Band's concert will feature singer Jennifer McConnell on several numbers.

Founded in 1946 under the American Legion umbrella by soldiers returning home from World War II, it has been going strong ever since. A single conductor, Edric Loomis, led the band from 1946 when he was 28 years old until his retirement after the 2001 season. Today, the Band is directed by Jeremy Berger.

Concert will be about one hour with no intermission.
Gates open at 5:30pm for bring-it-yourself picnic option.
