The Tributary, a group of teaching artists with a connection to Vermont's Northeast Kingdom, are gathering and inviting others to paint en plein air, drawing inspiration from the land in Kirby, Vermont, the surrounding area, and in Saint Johnsbury on Saturday. They offer a unique symposium experience this August 2nd-7th, with something for anyone interested in creating landscape-based art:

Professional artists
Expand your repertoire, or log plenty of time painting en plein air. Develop a body of work among peers in an organic, relaxed setting.

Artists new to landscape painting
Learn by doing in an immersive, supportive atmosphere, alongside more experienced artists.

Anyone can find focused instruction, inspiration, and insight in one of our workshops or artist demonstrations. Supplement your Symposium experience, or participate in the workshops independently.

Saturday, we are holding an all-day workshop with our two teaching artists that starts at Catamount Arts in St. Johnsbury. A plein air day of painting around town!
