The Brookfield Historical Society is sponsoring a guided tour of the Old Brookfield Center Cemetery on July 25th starting at 1:30 pm. This cemetery, established in 1791, is the oldest in Brookfield and offers visitors a rich resource for interpreting social, cultural, economic, and military history from the late 18th through the early 20th century. Additionally, the tour will offer tour participants an overview of the changes in tombstone craft and art during the same span of time.

Participants will assemble at the Newton House, the museum of Brookfield Historical Society (1133 Ridge Road), by 1:30. Dress appropriately for the weather and be prepared to walk over uneven ground. The event will be postponed in the event of persistent, heavy, rain or thunderstorms.
