We're back! This is our first talk to be held live, onsite since Covid. For the convenience of attendees, the talk will be held outside on our back patio.

Friederich Von Germann was a Hessian Captain, one of many German auxiliaries hired by King George III during the American Revolution. He arrived in the colonies in 1775 and was present at Burgoyne's surrender at Saratoga. During the war, He painted a series of watercolors of German, British, and American Troops. Robert Grandchamp will share about these paintings that are frequently used as sources for American Uniforms.

Admission is free.
Robert Grandchamp is the award-winning author of a dozen books on American military history. He earned his MA in American History from Rhode Island College. Robert is a former National Park Ranger, and for the last seven years has been an analyst with the immigration service. He resides in Jericho Center, Vermont with his wife Elizabeth.
