Have You Been Pwned?

What? Huh? If you don't know what Pwned means, come to this free Tech class via Zoom hosted by the Waterbury Public Library and find out! Tuesday July 20th from 3 – 4 PM. Register here: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/89841709528

So What is Pwned? If your email or password has been "pwned," it means that your account security has been compromised. If you're using the same password for multiple accounts and applications, then it is likely that several of your accounts have been part of a data breach. How do you find out if this has happened to you? If so, what can you do about it?

This class will show you how to check to see if you have any accounts or passwords that have been hacked. And if so (which is likely) what you should do to secure your accounts.

Depending on the nature of these applications and accounts, the consequences could be disastrous. With the right information, a cyberattacker could launch a financial attack on you or your business. In a worst-case scenario, a malicious individual may even steal your identity.
