Music this week is Richmond-born Adam Morin (keys) and Avery Cooper (saxophone, flute). Together they create rich textures and powerful melodies from swing, bossa, bebop, gospel, and more. Let the sweet sounds of this jazz duo serenade you though the Farmers Market!
The beautiful thing about the market is that it facilitates a full-circle effect in our lives. The market provides for the community and the community gives back to the market - this happens over generations. I grew up eating carrots off the stem and sucking on maple candies from the market, and now I have returned as the manager. Avery and Adam, along with me, were amongst the crews of after-schoolers trekking down to the market each Friday after a long week cooped up in school - a phenomenon I still see happening today! Now they are back to serenade us all. See? Full circle.
Also at the market this week: come share your stories, hopes or needs to the MMUUSD School Board. The Board wants to hear how families and community members in our district are preparing for the 21-22 school year while they also prepare for the return to school.
Please spread the word! We take EBT cards and offer additional coupon programs like Crop Cash and Farm to Family (follow this link for more information)!
Please park on the left side of the municipal parking lot, along the road heading to the baseball fields, or at the municipal lot by the town hall. Do not park on the right side of the parking lot which is reserved for Stones Throw Pizza customers only.
