Monthly distribution at the Essex Jericho Underhill Food Shelf will take place Saturday July 17 from 9:00 to 10:30 am at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church on Rt. 15 Jericho. The Food Shelf is sponsored by 11 local churches and serves people from the surrounding. No advance registration required. Pre-packed bags of staples and fresh food are brought out to clients' vehicles. Weather permitting, there will be outside tables with pet food and a choice of miscellaneous items.

Thanks to shoppers at The Jericho Market, Hannaford and Price Chopper in Essex; local farmers, and other community members for donations of staples, fresh produce, eggs, and money. Ongoing needs include canned fruit, ready to eat meals, and baked beans.
