Wallingford Day 2021!

Past event
Jul 17, 2021, 5 to 10 PM

Dear Wallingford and neighbors,

Wallingford Day is on!

Pallets are starting to go up around town- get in touch with us ASAP to get on the map!

Starting at 5pm on July 17th we have three musical acts taking place at the Recreation Area off Meadow St. Opening will be Phil Henry, a talented and beloved local musician, followed by local percussion ensemble Drum Journeys of the Earth, and for grande finale Burlington Taiko! The Lawrence Kaminski memorial fireworks show will take place around 9pm.

Bring a picnic blanket, dinner, and chairs if you want them. There will also be food vendors starting at 5pm set up just across the pedestrian bridge in the Stone Meadow parking lot.

Please note:

We encourage you to walk to the Recreation Area if you are able. If you will be driving, please park as far away as you can handle, to leave nearer spots for people who cannot walk far. There is very limited parking on Meadow St and in the parking lot by the playground. Alternative parking areas include Waldo Lane, Railroad St, Depot St, Main St, School St, and Florence.

All of this is weather-permitting! Keep an eye out for announcements on the Wallingford Day FB page and/or write to wallingfordday@gmail.com if it looks like it's going to be stormy.

The newly resurfaced basketball court will be off-limits during the festivities and during set-up and take-down of the musical acts.

Please take advantage of other events happening in our area before the music starts, including tag sales at local churches and homes, a classical music concert at the Sparkle Barn at noon, and new books on the Book Path in Stone Meadow Park.

See you on Wallingford Day! If you have any questions please write to us at wallingfordday@gmail.com.
