Join us for an exciting outdoor adventure into the world of insects. Kent McFarland, an ecologist with the Vermont Center for Ecostudies, has been instrumental in creating the Vermont Atlas of Life, documenting what we know about plant and animal species of Vermont. In this field session we will learn about various citizen science monitoring programs such as for lady beetles, native bees, and monarch butterflies. For those monarch enthusiasts this will be a timely event to learn how to use the iNaturalist tool in preparation for a week-long survey blitz for monarch monitoring the last week of July.
This event is July 10, rain date July 17 starting at 10 AM. The first 25 people who sign up get to attend. The location and parking details will be forwarded to you once you sign up.
