The Stragglers will kick off this year's Mills Riverside Concert Series on Wednesday, July 7th from 6-8PM. The Stragglers took their 'pandemic hiatus' to refine their sound, compose originals, and get back to the roots of what brought them together. Their performance will showcase their fresh takes on classic bluegrass numbers made famous by performers such as Bill Monroe and Ricky Scaggs along with the rockabilly and classic country sounds of Johnny Cash and Ernest Tubb. Along with their clever covers, the Stragglers will perform classic Old-Time Appalachian-Style fiddle tunes and several original instrumental and vocal tunes that come from what they call their "New-Time String Band Sound."

The Stragglers are Rusty Charpentier - Fiddle/Guitar/Vocals, Eric Bushey -

Banjos/Guitar/Vocals, Preston Randall - Guitar/Mandolin/Vocals, and Justin Bedell - Bass/Vocals.
