The Essex Community Historical Society will be opening the Harriet Farnsworth Powell Historical Museum for the season on Sunday, July 11, 2021, from 1 – 4 p.m. Come and see our new acquisitions – a painting of the train station by Essex artist, Mary Laliberte and a one-rider winter horse training sleigh used at the Whitcomb Farm in the early 20th century to train horses for both winter racing and muddy summer conditions. Learn about women's suffrage in Vermont and Essex. Take a walk down memory lane with Harriet Farnsworth Powell's political button collection. Enjoy refreshments with the ECHS Board.
