Join the Barre City Tree Stewardship Committee in celebrating the new site where trees will grow to be planted within the city.
July 3rd starting at 9am, ending early afternoon.
145 Reservoir Rd in Orange
From Barre, take Rte 302 east through East Barre into Orange. Turn left (north) on Reservoir Rd and continue about 0.7 miles. The nursery site will be on your left across from the city water treatment plant.
Meet the 50 trees already planted, as well as other tree enthusiasts. Learn and envision how you can engage at the site and with the committee.
Work Projects include:
Moving soil and mulch;
Digging new trenches to increase capacity;
Inspecting trees;
Planning for the future!
Bring a small amount of water to share with your favorite trees. Some tools provided, but your own shovel, pick-mattock, watering can, or bucket welcome.
