Description of The People's Law School: Employment Law 101 - What happens if I get injured on the job? How do I find out if I qualify for unemployment insurance? Can my employer fire me because of my age? How do I complain about a safety issue in my workplace? The employer-employee relationship can be difficult to navigate. Learn the basics of this relationship and understand your rights as an employee. The panel will provide an overview of Vermont employment law, and cover topics including at-will employment, employment discrimination, protected leave, wage and hour issues, workplace safety, workers' compensation, and unemployment.
