Hello everyone!
The Bristol Trail Network is very excited to announce that we will be installing a pollinator garden in Sycamore Park! We are looking for volunteers to help us plant, but no planting experience is required. I will show everyone proper planting techniques and where each plant should be placed. This is a great way to learn about the importance of pollinators, native Vermont plants, and how to plant your own pollinator garden!
We will meet in the parking lot of Sycamore Park at 10:00 am on Tuesday, June 29th. The planting will take about two hours. Everyone should bring their own shovels/digging device, as well as some rakes for the mulch. Also be sure to bring a lot of water.
Side Note: I am looking for a cleaned (pesticide free) backpack sprayer to aid in watering the plants for the rest of the summer. Additionally, I am looking to borrow a few garden trowels for the event. Thanks so much! Please email me at jennifer.sogin@UVM.edu or text me at 651-408-2650 if you are interested or have any tools I could borrow.
