The Genealogy and Slavery Discussion Group brings together people who are researching their family history in relation to slavery. If you have identified ancestors who were slave-holders / enslavers or ancestors who were enslaved, we invite you to participate. We share research experiences and discuss the challenges that come from uncovering difficult long-hidden truths. Each meeting includes an educational component helpful to both new and experienced researchers, as well as time to discuss how our research connects to the current struggles for racial justice.
Our next monthly meeting is Thursday, June 24, 5-7 pm, via Zoom. PLEASE NOTE that this month's meeting is one hour earlier than our usual time.
If you are interested in participating, contact doriew@radicalrootsgenealogy.org for more information.
If you have questions, feel free to contact me (Dell).
