Before we jump into week 5's news & notes, let us first thank all of you who have stopped by the market this year. The turnout has been incredible and a clear indicator of the desire to support local and reconnect with the community.
In this light, we are continuing to incorporate the market programs we had to forgo last season. This past week saw the return of picnicking (which was amazing to see!). This week we are bringing back our kids' POP tent! The POP (Power of Produce) program provides a fun opportunity for kids ages 6-12 to understand the importance of fruits and vegetables through educational activities and vouchers allowing them to purchase their own produce at the market.
From a vendor standpoint, we have a full slate as always ranging from an ever growing list of seasonal veggies to incredible crafts and specialty foods.
