Join the Town of Huntington and the Trust for Public Land to celebrate the newly-created 245-acre Huntington Community Forest on Saturday, July 17, from 2:00 to 4:30 p.m. The celebration will be held outside, rain or shine, at the Brewster-Pierce Memorial School.
The afternoon includes the dedication program, the big reveal of the T-shirt design contest (it was quite the competition!), live music, Krin's cake and macaroons and Theo's Maple Lemonade! Help us eliminate waste by bringing your own cup (and chair if you so desire).
There will be a raffle so bring cash or your check book. You could win something quite wonderful, including a framed linocut print by Huntington artist Darryl Storrs, a Sleepy Hollow season's pass, Camel's Hump Nordic ski pass, Maplewind Farm and Beaudry's gift certificates and a Terry Bicycle gift certificate or a bike saddle. All items were donated (thank you!) and all the proceeds benefit the community forest.
