For those interested in Williston's history : Richard Allen , author and former teacher at Wiliston Central School will present a program "The Williston Diaries" on Saturday, May 10, 2014 at 11 am at the Dorothy Alling Memorial Library. Program material taken from the 19th century diaries of two women : Adelaide Isham Crossman and how she dealt with challenges during the Civil War and Ellen Metcalf telling about picnic at the poor farm, addition to the North Williston store, entertainment and celebrations in town such as circus, camp meeting, the fair and soldiers reunion.

Also , an opportunity to view the Civil War grandfather clock and music box built by local Williston farmer, Russell D. Munson in the Vermont Room.
