Wall lettuce is a non-native invasive species that has just, in the last year or two, appeared in the Hinesburg Town Forest. More information about it can be found at https://vtinvasives.org/invasive/wall-lettuce. We need to get it out of the HTF before it becomes a big problem.

We are organizing a wall lettuce pulling party in the HTF on Saturday, June 19 from 9:00 to 11:30. Everyone and anyone is welcome. Many hands make light work. Work gloves are recommended. Meet at the Economou Road trailhead at 9:00. Chittenden County Forester Ethan Tapper will lead us in the work and be available to talk about how to control non-native invasive species in general.
