Reminiscing with old friends, sharing memories, and playing our songs again – VSO’s musicians bring their version of a garden party to the lush surroundings of Vermont’s gardens and historic homes this summer. Relax with a free woodwind quartet concert at Highland Center for the Arts on July 2 at 6:30 pm.
Experience a rich American patchwork quilt of colors, textures, and sounds as the VSO’s Woodwind Quartet takes the audience on a journey through 120 years of American music–from Tin Pan Alley to Carnegie Hall, from a bumpy bike ride with Alyssa Morris’s “Motion” to the fairgrounds with Amy Beach’s “Carnival".
Enjoy a delicious picnic dinner during the show! Order your picnic in advance when you purchase your tickets online, and dinner will be waiting for you when you arrive for the show. Picnics are available for pickup starting at 5 PM. A limited number of meals will be available to purchase on-site the evening of the event.
This event is free, but advance registration and pre-ordering dinner is encouraged.
