Basic Map and Compass Skills for Kids
Saturday, 26 June 1-2:30pm
Ready to go on an adventure and demystify maps? In this short workshop, we'll be taking a quick look at maps to learn about contour lines, the compass rose, and legend symbols. We'll then focus on learning on how to use a compass and put our new skills to use on a short treasure hunt combining our new map and compass skills! Come prepared to be outside for 1.5 hours. Please bring a compass if you have one. Group size limited to 8 kids. Ideal ages 7-10. One adult (minimum) per child or family/friends' group.
