Join us for a special free evening online as we share a 25-minute excerpt of the Emmy award-winning HBO documentary "Ernie & Joe: Crisis Cops" followed by a panel discussion and Q&A for the Washington County/Montpelier community.
The documentary is an intimate portrait of two officers from the San Antonio Police Department's Mental Health Unit who are helping to change the way police respond to mental health calls. A virtual panel discussion with a local law enforcement officer, a mobile crisis clinician, and a person with lived experience, and an audience Q&A will follow the screening.
Online access to the full-length documentary will be available after the event. This special FREE event is co-hosted by NAMI Vermont and Team Two Vermont, and co-sponsored by Washington County Mental Health, Montpelier Police Department, Vermont Association of Chiefs of Police, Central Vermont Prevention Coalition, Disability Rights Vermont, Vermont Care Partners, Team Two, and NAMI Vermont.
