NO to OUTDOOR GROW, for now.

I am urging Williamstown voters to approve a "pause" on regulations to grow marijuana outdoors in Rural Residential zones 2 and 3. A motion will be made to change BA (by ZBA Board approval) to NO in the use table of our bylaws.

This will give the town some time to form a committee of citizens with a stake in the process who can work to find a suitable solution. That includes current farmers, residents of RR 2/3, Mt. Greylock High School representatives, Police Dept., Board of Health, etc. Well intentioned current Planning Board members have been swept up in the process to the point that they feel heavily invested in pushing the proposal through, over long heard, but ignored, objections and suggestions by local residents who actually live in these zones.
