Let's make some music!
On June 21st, become part of Downtown St. Albans' second Make Music Day. Anyone can take part anywhere in the city.
We'll start with a drum circle from 3-4 in Taylor Park - anyone is welcome to join, and bring your instruments if you want to jam with us!
Then The Smoky Newfield Project will be performing on the steps of City Hall from 5-7pm. SNP is known for their rich vocal harmonies and varied instrumentation featuring Bill Valliere, aka Smokey Newfield, on guitar, Cathy Cameron-Muscente on guitar and bass, Tom Chadwick on drums and Laura Chadwick on keyboard/melodica, violin, bass, mandolin and guitar. They cover an eclectic mix of folk rock, classic rock, country, pop and anything else that tickles their musical sensibilities. Bring a chair and enjoy the music.
Anyone—amateurs, dabblers, professional musicians, families—can take part in this free and open celebration of music. Instruments of all kinds are welcome. DIY is encouraged!
Simply show up and play. Get out and find yourself a bit of park, sidewalk, business, porch, or yard—together we'll make the city hum with music. Make new friends or jam with old ones.
