Forest Integrity in New Haven and Beyond

In this presentation, Conservation Planner Jens Hilke from Vermont Fish & Wildlife Department will show how even small forests in the Champlain Valley add up to a bigger forest pattern that helps wildlife and fights climate change. Our connected forests are becoming more fragmented, broken into smaller and smaller chunks because of sprawling development that affects this pattern and our rural character. Please join us for this interesting look at how New Haven fits in to this larger ecological context.

Jens Hilke works for the Vermont Fish & Wildlife Department as a Conservation Planning Biologist.
