Living Compassionately Connected - Reflection on Personal and Community Ahimsa (non-harm)

Yoga means unity. It offers a path to liberation and freedom from suffering by creating unity and harmony within ourselves and for ourselves within the world. There are tools for this journey that yoga offers us both on and off of the mat.

Ahimsa means non-harming and yoga encourages us to live in a way that is non-harming to ourselves and other beings. There are many ways that we consciously and unconsciously harm ourselves and others. One of the most harmful ways, according to yoga, is when we disconnect from ourselves and from others. Yoga teaches us the truth of our own coherent and beautiful connection of body, mind, and spirit as well as the grace and interconnection of all beings.

Join Jen Peterson and Elissa Cobb for more study of the path of Yoga. The first session of this study of Ahimsa will focus on how we remedy the disconnection of mind, body, & spirit. The second session will reflect on creating more compassionate connection and reciprocity with other beings and the world around us. Both sessions are stand alone and can be attended individually.
