Join us for a walk about and farm tour. You'll get to meet the animals (maybe name brand-new lambs) and learn more about what we do.
About this event
Saturday Farm Tour is a 90-minute tour to meet our animals, learn about perennial agriculture in action, and spend some time making family memories.
We will start at the farmstead to give an overview of our history and approach, followed by meeting the animals close to home. After that, we'll set out to find the sheep in pasture and highlight our methods to manage the land to protect the water, sequester carbon and increase biodiversity. We might talk blueberries and old apple trees, or identify pasture plants, or name the young lambs...maybe we do all of it!
After more than 20 years working professionally in agriculture, Jenn is still revved up by making connections between people around food and farming, learning new things every day, diving deeply into ecology and observational science like a total geek, and just getting to know the people who visit.
Our tour will finish up with a seasonal snack from the farm. Great for all ages, and we can adjust activities for the audience (especially with a little notice). This is a walking tour over uneven ground, but transportation can be arranged if needed.
$15/person over 13, kids under 12 free. Please buy tickets ahead--it helps us plan!
