9 AM, Saturday, May 3. The New Haven River Anglers Association and Bristol Conservation Commission will host a work day at the new Bristol town property along the New Haven River on the Bristol Flats south of the village. Coffee, bagels, donuts and cider will be provided by the Anglers.

Meet at 9 AM in the parking lot of A. Johnson Lumber Co. at 995 South 116 Rd (turn in the driveway, cross over a small brook, and turn right into the gravel parking area before you reach the office building). The work site is a short walk along the river bank from this parking area. Sturdy boots and work gloves recommended. Bring hand pruners, loppers, and shovels if you have them. We will be cleaning up debris, installing willow stakes, planting some trees, and constructing a small informational kiosk.
