A "buzz-worthy" ballet recently featured in Seven Days "Magnificent 7" is coming to the big field behind Woodchuck Cider on Saturday, June 5th. Get all the details about Pollen-Palooza at townhalltheater.org. Come before the show for free festival activities, and enjoy lunch or dinner with Woodchuck Cider, Aqua ViTea Kombucha and the Bobcat food truck! This is like Farm to Ballet but with insects...by the same amazing company, Ballet Vermont.

Ballet Vermont's Bees & Friends is a vivid, delightful ballet depicting bees, bugs, birds iconic to their seasons. Set to Vivaldi's The Four Seasons, Bees & Friends brings focus to the small, nestled creatures crucial to a healthy Vermont. The ballet explores topics of pollination, metamorphoses, integrated pest management and bioluminescence.

"If the bee disappeared off the surface of the globe, then man would have only four years of life left. No more bees, no more pollination, no more plants, no more animals, no more man." –Albert Einstein

For the full festival experience, come before the show to enjoy family-friendly activities and local food and beverage from Woodchuck Cider, Aqua ViTea Kombucha, and the Bobcat food truck, all in a big, beautiful field behind Woodchuck Cider, perfect for socially distanced fun. Enjoy a bee-focused education experience from Bee the Change, public art making with Find Your Wings, bring a t-shirt or buy one to participate in butterfly screen printing, ladybug and aphid craft making, a mini-dance class, and end-of-show photo booth with the Bees & Friends dancers.

To encourage distanced fun, THT is presenting two festival performance experiences on Saturday, June 5. First show: gates @ 12:30pm; performance @ 2pm. Second show: gates @ 4pm; show at 5:30pm. Tickets: $20/adults; $10 kids 12 and under; children under 3 free. Advance tickets recommended, but cash ticket sales at the door pending availability.
