Vermont Interfaith Power & Light (VTIPL) invites you to attend on Thursday, June 3 at 7 p.m. this virtual gathering of reflection and discussion about the importance of water in Creation, our lives, and our communities.
It commemorates World Environment Day and World Oceans Day (both in early June).
The program features the short film "One Word - Sawalmem", a beautiful story about indigenous perspectives on water, and a conversation with panelists whose work and service focus on protecting and revering water, while addressing the climate crisis.
The panelists include:
-"One Word - Sawalmem" filmmakers;
-Jon Groveman, Vermont Natural Resources Council's Policy & Water Program Director;
-The Rev. Dr. Nancy Wright, waterkeeper, co-author of Congregational Watershed Manual, pastor of Ascension Lutheran Church in S. Burlington, and VTIPL Vice President.
