Vermont Farm Immersion Program at Hartshorn Farm

One of the things that the pandemic has taught us is how vulnerable we are to food insecurity and supply chain issues. We were so saddened to see how many people were without food. (Thankfully, a few innovative organizations met some of the need with donations.) It was also heartbreaking that school kids couldn't get the free breakfasts and lunches that they needed. Who knew that toiler paper would be such a valuable commodity?

Why the Vermont Farm Immersion Program?

What if you could grow your own nutritious food at home? Maybe you could start a small farm and produce extra for your community. Or, grow and preserve your own food for your family and reduce your dependency on supermarkets. Maybe you could specialize in one or two things and turn them in to a value added product? (Think cabbage, carrots, onions, peppers, and kimchi.)

Want to learn from seasoned professionals how to do this? Dave and Amy have over 60 years combined of growing knowledge. From the backyard garden to the commercial field crops.

It's happening- the farm immersion program, that is.
Is this the time for you to learn how to grow your own food sustainably?

When? The date is July 25-31st.

We already have some people signed up, so please let us know asap if you are interested.
We don't want cost to be a deterrent- we have scholarship money available. Let us know if you have any questions.
