Greetings from the Bethel Community Teaching Garden Team!
Thanks to everyone who came out to help us get the Garden ready for planting a couple of weeks ago. It was great fun and we got so much done together! It was awesome to have your help and your company.
Since then we have figured out the water situation, so we're getting together again this Saturday to install a water line and plant the plots -- and, of course, YOU'RE ALL INVITED!
When: Saturday, May 29, 9:30 am - noon
What: Work party! Come help us
- Put in a water line
- Plant seeds and seedlings
- Build and plant flower beds
- Pick up mulch hay
- Water all the new plantings

BYO snacks & drinks. Dress to get dirty! Bring sunscreen, work gloves, shovels, rakes, and hand tools. And bring your extra seedlings to donate to the Garden or to swap for someone else's extra starts!
We'll have water on hand -- bring your water bottle!
We'll have a volunteer signup sheet for anyone who hasn't yet signed up but wants to.
And we'll be asking you for your ideas for Garden Talk topics -- tell us what gardening topics you want to learn more about or what you'd like to teach others about! Want to see the Garden host other outdoor get-togethers? Maybe yoga or movement? Kids' storytimes? Bird-watching walks? Let us know what you want to learn/do and what you can help others learn. We want the Garden to be a fun community gathering spot, so please share your thoughts with us on how to make that happen!
