Hinesburg Garden Tour June 13
The Friends of Carpenter-Carse Library is holding its second annual Garden tour of six beautiful Hinesburg gardens on Sunday, June 13 from 10:00 to 3:00. This is a wonderful community event, in which we are able to stroll the backyard gardens of and enjoy their creations.
This year the tour features one of the largest and most diverse collections of azaleas and rhododendron in the state; two Lake Iroquois gardens using landscaping to protect the lake; garden bridges, stone walls, paths; vintage perennial gardens; tree plantings, and use of local plants.
Tickets will be on sale for $20 dollars at the Carpenter-Carse Library, Red Wagon Plants and online at the Seven Days Tickets website. With the purchase of a ticket you will receive a map of the garden locations and a booklet with a description of each one. You may start the tour at any of the gardens and travel at your own pace within the five-hour window. Tickets are limited!
We also need volunteers to help with parking and assisting at each garden. Sign up for a 2.5 hour shift and get a free ticket to visit the gardens on the other half of the day! To volunteer, email ardonegan@gmavt.net. Thank you!
